Principal Delivery Manager, Portfolio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the delivery strategy and model for Portfolio Management, which includes planning, tracking, reviewing, and communicating with executives.

• Innovate delivery practices to enhance organizational impact as technology and work models evolve.

• Oversee delivery discovery for initiatives involving multiple teams, scoping and mitigating risks of significant commitments prior to the commencement of work.

• Collaborate with Portfolio Management teams to identify dependencies and unknowns at an early stage.

• Recognize and facilitate the resolution of intricate cross-team challenges.

• Manage the Portfolio Management engagement model, which encompasses execution planning, release planning, and alignment with executive leadership.

• Set delivery standards based on recurring themes observed throughout the work.

• Offer informal guidance to fellow Delivery Managers through coaching and setting an example.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in delivering complex, cross-functional programs, including projects that span multiple organizations.

• Proven history of establishing delivery structures, processes, or engagement models in the absence of an existing approach, and ensuring their adoption.

• Experience in defining delivery metrics or standards that have been implemented beyond the initial team.

• Ability to coordinate across organizations, foresee unknowns, and manage last-minute changes without disrupting work progress.

• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills at the executive level.

• Experience in informally guiding or mentoring other delivery professionals without formal management authority.

• Willingness to travel approximately 4 or more times a year for effective in-person collaboration.
