Principal Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Identify, access, and integrate clinical study data, observational data, and real-world healthcare datasets.

• Conduct high-quality data extraction and preprocessing.

• Create and implement signal processing techniques for data curation and feature/pattern extraction from longitudinal high-frequency data.

• Develop and execute machine learning models for clinical applications, including disease phenotyping and predictive modeling.

• Utilize time-series analysis, feature engineering, and probabilistic modeling in biomedical data.

• Build and sustain scalable, high-performance data pipeline systems.

• Validate and benchmark machine learning models against leading methods in the field.

• Ensure the clinical relevance and interpretability of the models.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, mathematics, data science, or a related field.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce technical reports and concise summaries of complex findings.

• Demonstrated expertise in advanced analytical research methodologies, including machine learning and signal processing, especially in biomedical/clinical data applications.

• Proficient in R or Python, with practical experience in machine learning and data analysis.

• Skilled in data extraction and integration techniques, including APIs, relational databases, and cloud-based solutions.

• Familiar with software engineering best practices for version control, review, and testing.

• Competent in cloud-based technologies such as AWS.

• Expertise in handling clinical data standards, EHR, electrophysiological signals, and data from wearable devices.

• Moderate experience in pharmaceutical and biotech consulting, aligned with GxP compliance and regulatory guidelines.

• Strong skills in data visualization, including R Shiny, Matplotlib, and interactive dashboard tools.

• Effective in client communication and stakeholder engagement.

• Capable of making timely decisions regarding technical project issues.
