This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of implementing the data strategy for a large-scale enterprise data platform.
• Collaborate with upstream source-system teams and business data owners, overseeing handoffs, ingestion readiness, and shared metadata standards.
• Lead the data supply chain process, including source onboarding, ingestion, and transformation.
• Propel a multi-phase metadata maturity initiative.
• Manage the promotion of data through raw, source, and trusted catalog layers.
• Establish and uphold data quality standards regarding completeness, conformance, freshness in line with SLAs, and defect/rework tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and AI/platform teams to facilitate self-service analytics and AI applications.
• Set and monitor measures for data quality, metadata coverage, and promotion/certification cycle times.
• Report on the progress of data strategy, as well as any risks and dependencies, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including client leadership.
• Engage in Agile/SAFe planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Execute other relevant duties as qualified and trained.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder teams and data owners in complex, multi-system environments.
• Experience leading or owning data strategy for a large, multi-source enterprise data platform.
• Familiarity with designing and managing metadata governance or maturity programs, including cataloging, ownership models, and promotion/certification criteria.
• Proficient with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or similar.
• Experience with metadata/catalog tools such as Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue Data Catalog, or Microsoft Purview.
• Experience in defining and enforcing data quality standards, including completeness, conformance, freshness, and defect tracking.
• Solid understanding of distributed data processing concepts and proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional certification in a cloud or data platform, data governance, or Agile delivery.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Must obtain a U.S. Federal Government client badge.
