Data Science Specialist I – Stores and Franchises

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the central point within the Franchises and Stores ecosystem for the design, modeling, and advancement of sophisticated data science solutions.

• Convert intricate business requirements into effective and practical technical solutions.

• Guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of Machine Learning models while ensuring pragmatic and impactful outcomes.

• Serve as a technical expert, offering continuous support and enhancing the development and training of the team.

• Recognize opportunities for ongoing improvement and innovation in workflows and data products.

• Create solutions that align with strategic objectives, delivering real value and optimizing retail operational performance.

• Design and refine predictive models as well as traditional Machine Learning models.

• Develop and implement resource optimization strategies, including workforce allocation, shift scheduling simulators, and ideal staffing frameworks.

• Investigate and implement Generative AI initiatives.

• Collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders in business areas, establishing operational and tactical agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with traditional Machine Learning and predictive modeling.

• Well-structured theoretical knowledge or practical expertise in optimization algorithms and techniques.

• Familiarity with Generative AI and its applications in a business setting.

• Strong analytical abilities and a critical approach to validating and auditing models and AI-generated results.

• Outstanding negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills to convert business challenges into technical specifications.

• Self-sufficient profile, capable of confidently gathering requirements, validating hypotheses, and structuring both technical and executive presentations.

• Proficiency in Machine Learning pipelines and ML Engineering (MLE) is advantageous.
