Principal Cyber Risk, Strategy Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients, account executives, teams, and service leaders to facilitate strategic discovery sessions.

• Convert intricate risk profiles into tailored commercial services proposals.

• Develop customized solution roadmaps.

• Establish rapport, trust, and credibility with CISOs, CIOs, and Board members.

• Provide guidance to executives on multi-year data protection, compliance, and incident response initiatives.

• Represent Proofpoint at executive roundtables, industry seminars, and significant trade shows.

• Gather client insights, market trends, and regulatory changes to inform Services Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering.

• Maintain up-to-date expertise in SaaS protection, emerging threat vectors, and changing regulatory landscapes.

• Create strategic cyber roadmaps that enhance client security outcomes and promote enterprise market share growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience as a high-level management consultant or enterprise practitioner focused on designing, scaling, or advising on comprehensive Data Security programs.

• Outstanding communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.

• Proven success in influencing C-suite decision-makers and aligning security services with corporate business objectives.

• Extensive knowledge of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Enterprise DLP, Cloud Security (CASB/Isolation), Insider Threat Management (ITM), and Incident Response.

• Strong understanding of NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR frameworks.

• In-depth expertise in SEC cyber disclosures, DORA, and NIS2.

• Excellent organizational and process management skills.

• Consultative mindset with a strong ability to solve complex problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or relevant experience.

• CISSP, CISM, or CRISC certifications are highly preferred.
