Principal – Coastal Restoration

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Act as the main technical authority for coastal restoration initiatives across True Environmental, delivering senior-level guidance on project design, planning, and implementation.

β€’ Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to incorporate coastal restoration knowledge across environmental, engineering, and regulatory service areas.

β€’ Evaluate and authorize technical outputs such as reports, plans, and regulatory submissions.

β€’ Draft and assess expert reports, rebuttal documents, and technical memoranda for litigation and regulatory matters.

β€’ Offer technical leadership on ecological topics.

β€’ Clearly communicate findings to legal, regulatory, and non-technical audiences.

β€’ Collaborate with senior management to influence functional strategy, service offerings, and market positioning.

β€’ Propel strategic business development initiatives, including significant pursuits, partnerships, and emerging markets.

β€’ Oversee proposal development, scope creation, and client presentations.

β€’ Provide technical insights to projects within relevant areas of expertise.

β€’ Work alongside other technical specialists to achieve multidisciplinary project objectives.

β€’ Mentor and deliver technical training to junior and intermediate team members.

β€’ Engage in strategic hiring, succession planning, and organizational development efforts.

β€’ Promote a high-performing, inclusive team culture.

β€’ Carry out all other duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Coastal Science, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related discipline.

β€’ Over 15 years of prior experience in environmental consulting and A/E/C with an emphasis on coastal restoration.

β€’ Proven experience acting as a technical authority on environmental and coastal restoration projects.

β€’ Strong professionalism, integrity, ethics, and dedication to environmental sustainability.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software tools.
