This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Take full ownership of the delivery process for Core IT’s most impactful projects and programs, from problem identification to implementation.
• Identify significant and ambiguous problem areas, providing guidance to IT leadership on various problem classes.
• Establish practices, frameworks, and standards for requirements that will benefit analysts and the wider team.
• Offer advice to IT leadership and senior stakeholders regarding organizational design, systems architecture, and strategic processes.
• Oversee IT's interaction with the business by collecting requirements, coordinating resources, planning timelines, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of IT engineering, support, and operations, including financials, services, performance metrics, and SLAs.
• Develop, assess, and enhance scalable business processes and improvement strategies.
• Provide mentorship to analysts and engineers.
• Promote and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally and establishes new offices.
• Over 10 years of experience in business systems analysis, strategy, or architecture within a large-scale organization.
• Extensive expertise in requirements strategy, organizational design, systems thinking, and process optimization.
• Proficient in data analysis, process optimization, and requirements architecture.
• Proven experience in advising senior leadership on complex, strategic decisions.
• Background in large-scale organizational transformation or system architecture decisions.
• Capability to build trust and advance decisions with stakeholders and teams not under your direct supervision.
• Exceptional analytical skills and communication abilities.
• Competence in managing multiple complex, concurrent programs from start to finish using independent judgment.
• Strong skills in data management and analysis utilizing Google Sheets/Excel, Splunk, and similar tools.
• Familiarity with corporate security and compliance programs, internal controls, audit evidence, and data handling in accordance with SOX, FedRAMP, GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations.
• Legal authorization to work at Samsara in the designated work location.
