Principal Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to gather and document business requirements for software development initiatives.

• Analyze and convert business needs into user stories that align with project objectives.

• Execute complex and critical tasks independently, exercising judgment and promoting best practices.

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams.

• Conduct interviews, story mapping, storyboarding, workflow analysis, process analysis, and observation sessions.

• Evaluate existing systems and processes to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineers to review story requirements and verify system functionality.

• Troubleshoot issues, perform impact analysis, and propose solutions.

• Review system enhancements with project stakeholders.

• Create flow diagrams and document technical solutions.

• Stay updated on business analysis and Agile best practices as well as emerging trends.

• Coach and mentor other Analysts and lead the Analyst community COE within the Value stream.

• Develop solutions for complex business challenges alongside Architects and System Analysts.

• Engage in future application roadmaps to enhance application scalability and resilience.

• Act as a primary point of contact for business inquiries, especially during major incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience working with development and systems teams as a Lead Business Systems Analyst.

• Capability to analyze intricate business processes and identify areas for enhancement.

• Aptitude for identifying and resolving business challenges through innovative and practical solutions.

• Strong communication skills to comprehend stakeholder needs and effectively convey technical information.

• Proficiency in collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements from stakeholders.

• Understanding of technology and systems, including highly complex multi-platform applications and databases.

• Excellent documentation skills for comprehensive reports, manuals, workflows, and specifications.

• Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources efficiently.

• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in project scope, requirements, or technological advancements.

• High proficiency with SQL, Toad, MS Access, Excel, and/or SharePoint.

• Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies, including Jira and Confluence.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available, including CPT/OPT.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advantageous).

• Experience with Agile principles (advantageous).

• Prior production support and troubleshooting experience (advantageous).

• Experience as a QA or Developer (advantageous).
