This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Design, develop, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure along with shared platform services that facilitate digital workloads.
• Implement and sustain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, and governance.
• Create Azure PaaS, containers, and managed services as reusable platform capabilities.
• Ensure platforms fulfill criteria for scalability, resilience, performance, cost-effectiveness, and reusability.
• Utilize DevOps and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness.
• Establish and operationalize core platform services and tools for engineering teams.
• Deliver standardized Azure platform capabilities, deployment frameworks, and paved-road solutions.
• Design and manage Infrastructure as Code leveraging GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CDKTF-based frameworks.
• Develop reusable, modular deployment patterns that balance self-service with governance.
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and enforcement of policies.
• Create foundational automation and tools for consistent and secure Azure deployments.
• Implement security-by-design principles across identity, networking, encryption, secrets management, and auditability.
• Ensure Azure solutions adhere to security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with architecture reviews, risk assessments, and audits alongside security and risk teams.
• Enable observability, traceability, and operational controls through platform guardrails and shared tools.
• Collaborate within agile, cross-functional teams with cloud engineering, data engineering, security, and risk partners.
• Lead large projects and develop horizontal capabilities across the enterprise.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure within large-scale or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure platforming, networking, identity, access management, and governance.
• Experience in designing for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Proven capability to troubleshoot and manage production Azure environments.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions, ARM, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience in constructing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
• Background in developing reusable deployment frameworks, foundational automation, or internal platform tools.
• Familiarity with IAM models, role definitions, and least-privilege access patterns.
• Experience with Azure API Management or comparable API gateway solutions.
• Understanding of secure service exposure, rate limiting, and API lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• Over 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering leadership, or infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record in delivering and managing Azure environments.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale Azure platforms.
• Experience in building core cloud platform capabilities, engineering enablement tools, or shared services for internal development teams.
• Experience in leading large projects and collaborating with technology teams and leaders.
