This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Design and execute cloud infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and AWS.
• Lead cloud deployment and migration initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Administer and oversee the lifecycle of designated cloud services and platforms.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, and Windows 365 cloud PCs.
• Oversee Azure Virtual Desktop host pools, image management, and FSLogix.
• Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code solutions, automation frameworks, and operational tools.
• Utilize tools such as Nerdio, CIPP, and Lighthouse.
• Analyze metrics related to performance, availability, and security across Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and AWS environments.
• Implement initiatives for cloud improvements.
• Act as a technical escalation point for Cloud Engineer I team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Suggest enhancements in architecture, security, and modernization opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards, governance practices, and platform roadmaps.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS environments and multi-cloud architectures.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or similar VDI technologies.
• Strong grasp of identity and access management, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
• Knowledge of Azure services encompassing compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and optimization.
• Knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Understanding of hybrid infrastructure and identity integrations.
• Knowledge of DevOps orchestration.
• Proficient in scripting, with PowerShell being strongly preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and hybrid systems.
• Skills in monitoring and performance tuning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Capacity to work independently as well as in team settings.
• Skill in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Aptitude for solving complex technical challenges.
