Senior Engineer – Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain back-end software systems for cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.

• Create and execute distributed systems architecture for endpoint management platforms.

• Engage in strategic technical initiatives centered on sensor telemetry and system debuggability.

• Develop and uphold high-performance cloud infrastructure components.

• Ensure system reliability and performance through continuous monitoring, testing, and debugging efforts.

• Conduct root cause analysis for critical problems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend solutions effectively.

• Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members.

• Implement microservices architecture to enhance scalability.

• Design event-driven systems utilizing contemporary messaging patterns.

• Contribute to best practices in software architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field (or foreign equivalent).

• Five (5) years of experience in the offered position or a closely related field.

• Proven experience in building backend modules for distributed systems using microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and service mesh patterns.

• Experience in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP, managed services (RDS, Lambda, S3), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), auto-scaling, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-region deployments.

• Proficiency with Redis, Kafka, Postgres, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.

• Experience in building REST or equivalent APIs using Spring Boot/Gin, HTTP methods/status codes, JWT/OAuth, API versioning, rate limiting, and OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java, including knowledge of frameworks, concurrency patterns, performance optimization, and production-grade application development.

• Skills in troubleshooting and debugging distributed systems using Jaeger/Zipkin, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and conducting root cause analysis.

• Experience working collaboratively in coding environments, refining designs, engaging in code reviews, and managing pull requests.

• Must possess sufficient expertise and knowledge to effectively perform the responsibilities of the offered position.
