Principal Architect – Technology Solutions Group

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery sessions with stakeholders from client business and technology.

• Convert ambiguous business requirements into precise technical specifications and solution strategies.

• Design comprehensive solutions encompassing applications, cloud, data, integrations, infrastructure, automation, security, and AI.

• Assess architectural alternatives based on factors such as scalability, maintainability, performance, security, cost, and delivery risk.

• Take ownership of the technical solution and delivery strategy for opportunities within the Technology Solutions Group.

• Define project scope, workstreams, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, team configurations, and effort estimations.

• Contribute technical content for proposals, Statements of Work, RFIs, RFPs, and client presentations.

• Collaborate with sales, account management, delivery, and leadership teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

• Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, technology leaders, architects, and engineering teams.

• Communicate technical recommendations, risks, and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist with prototypes, proofs of concept, technical investigations, and solution validation.

• Facilitate the transition of proposed solutions to delivery teams and provide consultation on significant architectural decisions or risks.

• Identify tangible opportunities for generative AI, intelligent automation, machine learning, and agentic solutions.

• Evaluate AI platforms, models, frameworks, data requirements, security, reliability, cost, and build-versus-buy options.

• Create reusable reference architectures, solution patterns, estimation techniques, templates, and accelerators.

• Mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of technology experience, including more than 5 years in solution, technical, or enterprise architecture.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering intricate enterprise technology solutions.

• Extensive knowledge across application architecture, cloud platforms, data systems, APIs, integrations, distributed systems, infrastructure, security, and DevOps.

• Capability to transform incomplete requirements into architectures, delivery plans, estimates, and suitable team structures.

• Direct experience working with clients and senior business and technology stakeholders.

• Strong skills in technical problem-solving, communication, presentation, and facilitation.

• Ability to lead through influence while remaining hands-on during prototyping or technical validation phases.

• Background in consulting, professional services, systems integration, or another client-facing delivery environment.

• Experience in shaping project-based or outcome-based engagements and contributing to technical proposals and Statements of Work.

• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience in developing AI or generative AI solutions.

• Proven track record of creating reusable architecture standards, frameworks, patterns, or accelerators.
