Principal Architect, Solution Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the target architecture and technical roadmap of an enterprise identity lifecycle management platform centered around SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).

• Design integrations between SailPoint ISC, external systems, enterprise applications, authoritative data sources, and downstream identity and access services.

• Establish scalable models for the ingestion, connectivity, normalization, governance, access, and reuse of identity data.

• Lead the development of an identity data lake and a comprehensive identity data fabric that supports analytics and user experience capabilities.

• Collaborate with data and engineering teams to leverage enterprise platforms such as Databricks and Lina for identity data management, analytics, and solution deployment.

• Design user experiences that convert identity data and workflows into streamlined interactions for employees, approvers, administrators, and other stakeholders.

• Shape identity-oriented agentic AI use cases, including assistants that comprehend user context, identify application access requests, initiate access requests, and manage approval processes.

• Assess build-versus-buy options for identity and AI functionalities.

• Develop architectural standards, reusable integration templates, reference designs, and decision-making documentation.

• Provide technical leadership across domains such as identity, access, data, connected systems, analytics, automation, and user experience.

• Work in partnership with security, IAM, data, engineering, application, and business teams.

• Articulate complex architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence implementation across diverse teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on architectural experience with SailPoint, specifically with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).

• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, identity governance, access-request workflows, approvals, provisioning, and connected system architecture.

• Experience in designing enterprise solution architectures that integrate cloud platforms, applications, APIs, data sources, and security services.

• In-depth knowledge of data connectivity and the movement of identity data between an identity platform and external systems.

• Experience in designing data platforms, data lakes, data fabrics, analytics foundations, or similar enterprise data architectures.

• Capability to link identity architecture with data, analytics, automation, and user experience requirements.

• Ability to clarify architectural trade-offs, document decisions, and lead cross-functional teams from initial concept to implementation.

• Experience functioning as a senior technical leader in complex, matrixed enterprise settings.

• Preferred: Experience implementing AI, generative AI, or agentic AI concepts in enterprise workflows, identity, security, or access management.

• Preferred: Experience designing context-aware assistants, workflow agents, or API-based integrations between AI services and enterprise data sources.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks or similar data and analytics platforms.

• Preferred: Experience creating experience layers, portals, or conversational interfaces over identity services and data.

• Preferred: Awareness of modern cloud security, privacy, data governance, and responsible AI considerations.

• Preferred: Track record of leading architecture across multiple product, platform, and engineering teams.
