Principal Application Engineer – Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of applications by writing and defending production-quality application code and configurations.

• Promote and enhance technical excellence throughout ESA teams.

• Assist with strategic transformational projects and intricate enhancements.

• Conduct root cause analyses for high-complexity incidents, ensuring long-term solutions and system resilience.

• Manage vendor relationships and oversee the delivery of technical solutions.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce, NetSuite, Billing Platform, and related applications.

• Identify, prioritize, and carry out high-complexity application lifecycle tasks.

• Convert business objectives into scalable technical solutions and simplified architectures.

• Create complex tools and applications utilizing Apex, JavaScript, SuiteScript, Python, and integrated applications.

• Develop test automation regression suites and mentor teams on Copado automation.

• Construct AI workflows and agents.

• Automate intricate tasks through various tools and scripting.

• Analyze, debug, validate, and verify systems using test-driven approaches.

• Guide engineers through peer reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, adherence to engineering best practices, pull request approvals, and enhancements in technical quality.

• Modernize enterprise application architectures, enhance integrations, and minimize technical debt.

• Collaborate across functions to standardize development frameworks, automation tools, and DevOps practices.

• Employ independent judgment to address complex issues.

• Advocate for the adoption of AI and automation.

• Serve as a backup for the manager to ensure effective team delivery.

• Perform additional assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience working with a SaaS product.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) or UI frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• In-depth experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.

• Strong background in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and SaaS product development.

• Practical experience with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect for authentication and authorization.

• Working knowledge of SQL.

• Experience handling on-call responsibilities for production-grade systems.

• Solid understanding of resolving team dysfunctions related to trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and team outcomes.

• Mastery of key applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Billing Platform.

• Proficient in Apex, JavaScript, SuiteScript, and Python.

• Familiarity with Copado test automation.

• Experience in building AI workflows and agents.

• Knowledge of application architecture, system integrations, DevOps, and automation tools.
