Principal AI Translation Architect, 200 Languages

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the architecture of an advanced conversational AI platform that transforms traditional search into intelligent dialogue.

• Architect the AI orchestration layer that aligns large language models, specialized agents, retrieval systems, recommendation engines, and external APIs.

• Develop systems that comprehend user intent, identify necessary information, source data from various real-time providers, reason through competing options, and produce conversational responses that guide users from discovery to transaction.

• Compile and prioritize information from ticketing providers, hotels, airlines, restaurants, transportation services, mapping platforms, weather services, and additional third-party data sources.

• Create AI-centric systems designed for multi-step task planning, conversational context, tool execution, ranking, and recommendation adaptation based on user input.

• Establish the technical vision and architectural standards.

• Assess emerging AI technologies.

• Mentor senior engineers, architects, and principal engineers.

• Make strategic long-term decisions regarding LLM strategy, retrieval architecture, agent design, memory management, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI evaluation frameworks.

• Collaborate with Principal Architects responsible for backend infrastructure, payments, blockchain, messaging, mini-programs, and platform services.

• Ensure seamless ecosystem integration focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and delivering production-scale AI platforms utilized by a large user base.

• Demonstrated leadership in roles such as Principal Engineer, Chief Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or similar senior technical positions.

• In-depth expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, multi-agent systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and contemporary AI orchestration frameworks.

• Strong comprehension of recommendation engines, ranking algorithms, personalization, and conversational AI.

• Extensive experience in designing distributed, cloud-native systems that operate globally with high availability and low latency.

• Practical experience integrating complex third-party APIs and developing systems that amalgamate multiple real-time data sources into a cohesive experience.

• Exceptional architectural judgment with the capability to simplify intricate technical issues into scalable, maintainable solutions.

• Proven track record in leading senior engineering teams, mentoring architects and principal engineers, establishing engineering standards, and making long-term technical decisions.

• Strong communication abilities with the capacity to collaborate across engineering, product, and executive leadership.

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for creating category-defining products and addressing previously unsolved challenges.

• History of delivering ambitious, innovative products rather than merely maintaining existing platforms.

• Ability to adapt to a wide range of problems and technologies.
