Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication between Foochow and English speakers.

• Process information swiftly and accurately in a professional manner.

• Handle calls professionally in accordance with the interpreter’s code of conduct.

• Familiarize yourself with industry-specific terminology, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Engage in internal professional training sessions.

• Communicate and report to the team leader regularly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and Foochow languages.

• At least 2 years of experience in interpretation.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Capability to convey accurate concepts and meanings following established interpretation protocols, ensuring no omissions or additions.

• Ability to elucidate specific cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with the client’s permission or upon request.

• 90% proficiency in English.

• Reliable wired internet connection.

• USB wired headset.

• Operating system: Windows 10 or Mac.

• A quiet and secure working environment.

• Language testing and background checks may be necessary depending on location.
