This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of intricate AI and platform projects from inception to completion, providing business-oriented functionalities while enhancing the foundational context and agent platform.
• Design, construct, and sustain agent-driven workflows for loan intake, document examination, and servicing processes.
• Develop new platform patterns and capabilities by outlining methodologies, validating them through production use cases, and scaling for wider adoption.
• Direct model selection and routing based on factors such as cost, latency, and quality.
• Advance solutions as new models and features become accessible.
• Create interfaces and capabilities for other teams, including MCP tool servers, agent transitions, subagents, long-running states, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Implement evaluation and reliability standards, including evaluation sets, LLM-as-judge methodologies, regression testing, and ongoing performance assessment.
• Recognize risks, make technical compromises, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with and mentor peers to elevate the engineering standards.
• Contribute to Atlas, WDTech’s AI collaboration platform that facilitates reusable skills, agents, and AI functionalities.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Over 12 years of software development experience, including senior individual contributor roles in delivering production systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in delivering production AI/ML systems, including LLM-driven applications and agentic workflows.
• Profound experience with contemporary agent frameworks and SDKs such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, MCP, and A2A.
• Experience in prompt and context engineering, including RAG, embeddings, hybrid search, and reranking.
• Familiarity with model evaluation, observability, and safety measures for production AI systems.
• Experience utilizing agentic development tools, including skills, subagents, and harness configurations.
• Preferred experience in Real Estate, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
• High proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Strong expertise in SQL databases, covering schema design, query optimization, and performance enhancement.
• Experience in testing non-deterministic systems, including LLM call fixtures, evaluation suites, and strategies for managing flaky behavior.
• Sound judgment in determining which functionalities should be part of a shared platform versus individual applications.
• Capability to effectively navigate ambiguity, identify emergent patterns, and independently progress from business problem identification to solution delivery.
• Familiarity with Event Sourcing and Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ownership of work, willingness to embrace challenges, recognition of growth opportunities, and patience in learning new processes.
