Principal Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of actuarial concepts and offer thought leadership for current and prospective owners and clients.

• Work in partnership with the Senior Principal Actuary to deliver strategic consulting support.

• Oversee the creation of innovative actuarial modeling concepts.

• Deliver pricing support across all lines of business.

• Lead intricate, highly visible projects for executives and throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with underwriters, Prime teams, and senior management on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the RFP process.

• Direct, manage, and evaluate data analyses, reporting, and projections.

• Supervise and review complex pharmacy data mining and analyses.

• Provide strategic pricing counsel utilizing market research, financial projections, and advanced actuarial modeling.

• Present findings and analyses to stakeholders, senior management, and clients.

• Mentor and lead Actuarial team members.

• Track the Health Policy landscape and its effects on pricing policies, regulations, and political changes.

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and actuarial standards in all work.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance.

• 8 years of actuarial experience, with at least 6 years in a healthcare organization or PBM.

• Possession of an actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring a work visa or residency sponsorship.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Intermediate skills in SAS, SQL, or VBA.

• Exceptional quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong client consulting presence.

• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
