This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +37 more states.
• Manage the P&L performance for several states in the Southeast, focusing on homeowners, auto, and related insurance lines.
• Formulate and implement state and product strategies that encompass pricing, coverage, underwriting guidelines, retention, conversion, and customer experience.
• Evaluate performance data, competitive insights, and customer feedback to enhance coverage offerings and improve application and policyholder experiences.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams on rate-making, forecasting, segmentation, and risk selection strategies.
• Oversee regulatory filings and handle approval processes for rate and product modifications.
• Work alongside technology teams to enhance agent and customer experiences via system upgrades and process enhancements.
• Discover and apply automation and operational enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Act as a subject matter expert on assigned state markets, regulatory frameworks, competitive dynamics, and product performance.
• Define and validate product-market fit through quantitative analysis and customer insights.
• Lead cross-functional projects from the planning stage through to execution.
• Propel profitable growth while ensuring that state-specific homeowners products are competitively priced, operationally robust, and aligned with financial and risk objectives.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance product management and at least 4 years of relevant functional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, mathematics, finance, actuarial science, accounting, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• Direct experience in insurance product management.
• Strong comprehension of state-level P&Ls, insurance regulations, and product requirements.
• Proficient in rate-making, forecasting, modeling, competitive analysis, and risk portfolio management.
• Capability to function effectively in dynamic environments and swiftly assimilate new concepts and technologies.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Strong, persuasive communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in state management within hurricane-exposed states is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of reinsurance structures and core concepts is an advantage.
• Advanced statistical and analytical skills to optimize risk portfolios and enhance risk-adjusted returns are a bonus.
• Must be able to reside and work full-time in one of the listed eligible U.S. states.
• Must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship requirements are addressed in the application.
