This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and oversee pricing systems, price books, and discount frameworks for the entire product range.
• Oversee the deal desk function by evaluating and authorizing price deviation requests and quote inquiries.
• Collaborate with Product and Finance teams to create, test, and implement pricing models and process improvements.
• Track discount leakage and margin erosion, providing insights to leadership.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for price realization, discount trends, and competitive positioning.
• Ensure compliance and governance in pricing through established approval workflows, audit trails, and documentation.
• Aid in collecting competitive and market pricing intelligence to guide strategy.
• Educate and support Sales teams on pricing policies, tools, and exception handling processes.
• Monitor success metrics including discount/margin leakage reduction, deal desk turnaround time, compliance with pricing policies, and the accuracy and timeliness of pricing reports.
• Minimum of 5 years in pricing, revenue operations, sales operations, or finance, preferably in a B2B setting.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, SQL, and BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams.
• Detail-oriented with a robust process and governance focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Preferred experience with ERP and CPQ systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.
• Familiarity with pricing optimization tools like Revenue Analytics, PROS, Zilliant, or similar is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Python or R for advanced analysis.
• Strong commercial insight with the capability to balance profitability and market competitiveness.
• Ability to communicate complex pricing concepts to non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Strategic, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
