Presales Security Expert – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the designated Sales Representative to design and propose secure platform solutions.

• Develop and validate technical security solutions in both simulated and live environments.

• Create comprehensive network, cloud, and security architectures along with technical roadmaps.

• Identify technical opportunities that contribute to pipeline expansion.

• Lead evaluations for proof-of-concept, technical workshops, and related events.

• Present a persuasive cybersecurity vision as a leader in the industry.

• Address technical requests for proposals (RFPs).

• Promote communication and cooperation across various departments and teams.

• Deliver technical solutions for Fortinet’s cybersecurity clientele, including enterprises, service providers, and government entities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in pre-sales design and proposal of secure platform solutions.

• Practical experience in architectural administration and validating designs in both simulated and production environments.

• Capability to construct technical security solutions, demonstrate their viability, and provide technological rationale.

• Proficiency in designing complete network, cloud, and security solutions along with technical roadmaps.

• Familiarity with Secure Networking, Secure Wireless, Private/Public Cloud, SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, AI, Automation, SecOps, Operational Technology, Forensics, and Incident Response.

• Exceptional skills in presentation, whiteboarding, communication, and writing.

• Experience in responding to technical RFPs.

• Ability to recognize technical opportunities and enhance pipeline growth.

• Background in leading proof-of-concept evaluations, technical workshops, and events.

• Experience in administering LAN/WAN/Internet services.

• Competence in designing network and security solutions using Visio and producing Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Stateful Firewalling, NGFW, Firewall Policies, Identity-Based Policies, NAT, IPS, Anti-Malware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, and SDN.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, supernetting, subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, and IKE.

• Required experience with encryption and authentication technologies.

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills are preferred.

• Previous experience with vendors or resellers is a plus.

• Willingness to travel within the designated region and occasionally to other regions.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
