This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Perform comprehensive audits of insured parties' financial records to confirm reported premiums.
• Assess and interpret intricate financial statements, payroll documents, and other relevant materials.
• Detect trends and irregularities that impact the accuracy of premiums.
• Address complex discrepancies in policyholder records by collaborating with producers, underwriters, insured parties, leadership, and internal teams.
• Assess the relevance of insurance certificates and class codes in relation to specific risks.
• Review claim activity to ensure accurate and consistent employee coding.
• Compile and present detailed audit reports to management.
• Work alongside underwriters and internal departments to guarantee precise premium calculations.
• Handle complex audit-related inquiries from policyholders and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Oversee and assess premium audit practices while contributing to strategic enhancements.
• May mentor staff and partake in talent selection, development, and performance management processes.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management and Insurance, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Premium Audit, Underwriting, Accounting, or Finance.
• Preferred experience in insurance accounting.
• Completion of or ongoing progress toward a professional designation is preferred, such as APA, AU, CPCU, or ARM.
• Advanced technical knowledge of various accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and across different departments.
