This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Execute comprehensive audits of clients’ financial records to confirm declared premiums.
• Examine and interpret intricate financial statements, payroll records, and other pertinent documentation.
• Detect trends and irregularities that could influence premium precision.
• Resolve intricate discrepancies in policyholder records by collaborating with producers, underwriters, insureds, management, and internal teams.
• Assess the relevance of insurance certificates and class codes to particular exposures.
• Review claim activity to guarantee that employee coding is both consistent and precise.
• Compile and deliver detailed audit reports to management.
• Work in partnership with underwriters and internal departments to ensure precise premium calculations.
• Address complicated audit-related questions from policyholders and provide exceptional customer service.
• Oversee and assess premium audit practices, contributing to strategic enhancements.
• Potentially supervise performance and mentor staff, including involvement in talent acquisition, development, and performance evaluation.
• Offer technical guidance and support to junior positions.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically, a minimum of 10 years of experience in Premium Audit, Underwriting, Accounting, or Finance.
• Experience in insurance accounting is preferred.
• Completion or ongoing progress toward a professional designation is preferred, such as Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA), Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
• Advanced technical expertise in various accounting principles and practices.
