Pre-Approval Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a point of contact between the organization and both internal and external clients.

• Manage and directly engage in the loan process from initiation to completion.

• Interact with borrowers to clarify loan programs, associated costs, and necessary loan documentation.

• Examine and audit income, assets, DU results, and credit documentation within mortgage files.

• Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and provide them to borrowers.

• Assist in overseeing a pipeline of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage loans.

• Structure loans to determine the most suitable program for each borrower’s financial situation.

• Check files for any missing documentation that supports approval.

• Communicate loan programs and associated costs with borrowers.

• Pre-underwrite paystubs, credit reports, W-2s, bank statements, court orders, and other relevant documents.

• Enter disclosure feeds and set up loans to accommodate borrowers’ needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Familiarity with Encompass LOS is preferred.

• Previous underwriting experience is an advantage.

• Understanding of RESPA guidelines and mortgage and consumer regulations.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Strong prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows.

• A license is necessary to discuss loan programs and costs with borrowers.
