This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Generate public interest surrounding scandiweb, internal initiatives, company advancements, and select client projects.
• Collaborate with company founders and business leaders to pinpoint narratives that warrant public attention.
• Identify PR opportunities within projects, client engagements, internal dialogues, product innovations, research, technical accomplishments, and market dynamics.
• Transform intricate or commonplace subjects into engaging stories featuring compelling headlines, tension, implications, and compelling reasons for interest.
• Design innovative PR campaigns and attention-grabbing stunts.
• Organize newsworthy events, benchmarks, public challenges, experiments, debates, collaborations, or campaigns.
• Develop various media perspectives around central events for distinct audiences.
• Investigate relevant journalists, editors, newsletter authors, podcasters, creators, analysts, and industry communities.
• Prepare tailored pitches and execute outreach via email, social media, calls, introductions, events, and other avenues.
• Cultivate long-standing relationships with media professionals.
• Coordinate interviews, expert commentary, supporting data, visuals, demonstrations, customer testimonials, and spokesperson preparation.
• Collaborate with content, design, video, data, and development teams to produce story materials.
• Monitor public discussions, competitor actions, industry news, and cultural trends.
• Quickly respond to unforeseen media opportunities and manage internal contributors.
• Utilize AI and research tools to track media, identify patterns and contacts, develop angles, and enhance outreach.
• Assess campaign outcomes, document insights, and refine future campaigns based on media reactions and business impact.
• Measure success through earned media coverage, campaign discussions, relationships, relevant audience engagement, and supported business opportunities rather than the volume of press releases.
• Previous experience in PR, journalism, communications, creative agencies, content creation, startups, or growth marketing is highly valued.
• Proven capability to attract attention, gain coverage, build an audience, or generate public interest around a concept.
• Strong news judgment.
• Ability to uncover compelling angles in technical, commercial, or everyday information.
• Exceptional skills in headline creation, pitching, and short-form writing.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Capability to comprehend technical and business subjects and articulate them clearly.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to reach out to individuals directly.
• Tenacity in the face of ignored or rejected pitches.
• Comfort with working with incomplete information and evolving projects.
• Ability to juggle multiple stories, stakeholders, and deadlines.
• Confidence in communicating with founders, executives, technical experts, clients, journalists, and creators.
• Capacity to work autonomously, make decisions, and take accountability for campaign results.
• Curiosity regarding media, business, technology, eCommerce, culture, and information-sharing behaviors.
• Practical knowledge of social media, online communities, podcasts, newsletters, creator channels, and other media.
• Existing connections with journalists, editors, creators, or industry media are beneficial.
• Experience in eCommerce or technology is a plus but not essential.
