This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee both daily and long-term operations of the communications department, including planning, timelines, and program monitoring.
• Develop and sustain scalable processes and systems.
• Monitor budgets, deliverables, and deadlines for ongoing PR and communications initiatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Fleet, and Distribution teams to ensure alignment of communications programs with business objectives.
• Work alongside Program Management, Design, and Engineering to integrate communications and PR requirements into product and program schedules.
• Act as a primary contact for cross-functional partners regarding communications planning and progress.
• Guarantee that vehicles are wrapped, equipped, and prepared ahead of events and media activations.
• Organize timelines and specifications between communications and fleet operations.
• Monitor vehicle and asset readiness in relation to event and campaign schedules.
• Discover opportunities for Slate to participate in events, gain media exposure, and establish partnerships.
• Present ideas and suggestions to leadership.
• Keep an eye on industry trends and competitive landscape for potential opportunities and threats.
• Ensure workstreams are coordinated, documented, and adhere to schedules.
• Maintain records, timelines, and status updates.
• Proactively identify risks and resolve conflicts.
• Keep precise program documentation and records.
• Execute other tasks and special projects as required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent level of experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, communications, or PR.
• Proven experience in independently managing programs.
• Proficient in Smartsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
• Experience overseeing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
• Comfortable using scheduling, tracking, and communication tools.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to collaborate across functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple programs and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing communications operations at a growing or fast-paced company is preferred.
• A history of achieving cross-functional successes is preferred.
