Power Plant Commissioning Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive commissioning plans, timelines, and execution strategies.

• Collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams.

• Assist in system turnover and start-up strategies.

• Lead and manage commissioning personnel, subcontractors, and field teams.

• Supervise testing, inspection, and validation of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, and auxiliary equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve technical or operational challenges during commissioning and start-up phases.

• Ensure systems are prepared for safe and dependable operation.

• Complete and uphold commissioning procedures, test records, punch lists, and turnover documentation.

• Draft progress updates, reports, and technical findings.

• Maintain records of system status, issues, and solutions.

• Encourage a safety-oriented culture and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

• Implement site safety measures and engage in risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and mitigation planning.

• Guarantee compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Act as a primary contact for clients, contractors, partners, and regulatory representatives.

• Offer technical direction and operational support to plant operators and commissioning team members.

• Promote communication across teams for issue resolution and successful project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).

• At least 3 years of commissioning experience in the power generation sector.

• Willingness and ability to travel to construction sites across the Americas for extended assignments.

• Strong leadership and project coordination abilities at installation and construction sites.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

• Capability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic project environment.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Experience collaborating in cross-functional and multicultural project teams.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and site conditions.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
