This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Post Closing Team.
• Act as the primary escalation point for general inquiries, additional file assessments, and loan-level decisions.
• Assess and balance the loan assignments and workload of the team.
• Provide coaching for employee development and performance during one-on-one meetings.
• Aid in the onboarding and training of both new hires and existing staff.
• Track team performance metrics and report on documentation accuracy, timeliness, and compliance to management.
• Propose process enhancements to boost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Analyze production and processes to identify trends for the Investor Suspense Manager.
• Generate daily investor reports to identify suspended loans and manage file balancing as necessary.
• Assist with the duties and responsibilities of the Post Closing Team as required.
• Review and seek investor clarification to establish acceptable solutions for defects.
• Monitor daily investor condition reports for updates on suspended loans and new requirements.
• Observe loan duration on warehouse lines and inform the Investor Suspense Manager about potential curtailment risks.
• Keep an eye on the pipeline to ensure that shipped loans are conditioned or purchased in a timely manner.
• Provide status updates on assigned loans to the Post Closing Management Team.
• Ensure adherence to investor guidelines and avoid suspense fees.
• Review and approve team check requests when applicable.
• Guarantee that the Post Closing Team meets its monthly purchased-loan objectives.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Post Closing position.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a Team Lead or Senior Post Closing role.
• Familiarity with Encompass is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory rules and regulations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and overlays.
• Experience with various loan programs and addressing investor conditions and exceptions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service abilities with both internal employees and external vendors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions and identify alternative resolutions within acceptable parameters.
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet established deadlines.
• Proficient in making independent decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States based on the employer-selected location, “Remote USA.”
