Portfolio Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects throughout the Midwest region.

• Propel profitable growth, drive transformational changes, and ensure outstanding project results.

• Build high-performing teams while enhancing customer relationships.

• Promote both self-perform and subcontracted project delivery strategies.

• Hold full profit and loss accountability for a multi-project portfolio, which includes budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.

• Supervise multiple Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.

• Establish the execution strategy for portfolio construction across both self-performed and subcontracted scopes.

• Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to enhance project delivery, cost competitiveness, and customer value.

• Mentor team members and encourage skill development.

• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, quality, schedule, financial, and regulatory standards.

• Promote collaboration among engineering, procurement, construction, quality, EH&S, and support teams.

• Provide technical and constructability guidance across the portfolio.

• Identify capability gaps and drive strategic solutions.

• Conduct monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews with customers and partners.

• Represent DEPCOM at industry events and within the renewable energy sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• EPC experience with an in-depth understanding of project lifecycle phases, including engineering design, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and project closeout.

• Direct experience in constructing complex projects.

• Proven P&L responsibility for large portfolios or business units with values exceeding $100 million.

• Demonstrated leadership of Project Management teams, with a successful history of developing and mentoring senior personnel.

• Strong expertise in business economics, contracts, and negotiations with customers and subcontractors.

• Experience in leading both self-perform construction and subcontracted scopes.

• Demonstrated technical construction knowledge, including constructability, execution methods, sequencing, productivity, and risk management regarding cost and schedule.

• Proven strategic thinking abilities and capacity to analyze and enhance business processes.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Over 10 years of EPC experience.

• Experience in utility-scale solar and/or BESS construction.

• Experience in developing and scaling self-perform construction capabilities while managing subcontracted partners.

• Familiarity with industry benchmarking and best practices.

• Experience in leading transformative change through digitization, modularization, automation, or other innovative technologies.
