Portfolio Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a specific dairy loan portfolio, which generally includes both commercial and mortgage loans.

• Evaluate new loan applications and servicing requests utilizing financial statements and relevant credit data.

• Create credit packages and manage loan servicing activities.

• Support the Relationship Manager in collecting information for credit decisions, which includes customer meetings and follow-up communications.

• Request appraisals, field reports, third-party verifications, credit reports, and lien searches as needed.

• Conduct loan analyses that encompass financial statements, cash flows, loan analysis forms, trend sheets, narratives, creditworthiness assessments, risks, and mitigants.

• Develop projections based on historical financial data, current budgets, and additional relevant information.

• Enter financial data into financial analysis, loan origination, and processing systems.

• Provide approval recommendations in line with Loan Underwriting Standards and regulatory guidelines.

• Make independent approval recommendations on non-complex credit matters.

• Take part in loan committee meetings as required.

• Monitor the assigned portfolio for servicing requirements and ensure customer compliance with loan agreements.

• Assess and review legal documentation.

• Collaborate with credit and approval departments, attorneys, and title companies to facilitate loan closings.

• Contribute to special projects and work groups that require underwriting expertise.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Act as a secondary contact point for customers.

• Approve or deny credit actions based on delegated authority or recommend them to higher authorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required industry experience: Dairy.

• BA/BS degree with a focus on agribusiness, business administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience.

• Proven analytical and statistical abilities to assess loan requests and independently evaluate creditworthiness.

• Solid understanding of agricultural lending principles and practices, along with the policies and procedures of the association and Farm Credit System.

• Familiarity with Participation and Syndication credits.

• Knowledge of FCA regulations, as well as association and district policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in PC applications, including word processing, email, and electronic spreadsheet software.

• Ability to perform general office functions and operate in a standard office environment.

• Capability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and computer.

• Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers, and reach in all directions.

• Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Willingness to work during standard business hours, as well as weekends and/or evenings when necessary.

• Some travel may be required.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
