Political Scout Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Identify and engage outstanding candidates for federal and state positions.

• Collaborate with AFP state personnel and community leaders to evaluate the political environment and devise strategies aimed at crucial public office roles.

• Provide guidance to senior state leadership on strategies for candidate recruitment.

• Build relationships with potential candidates and motivate them to pursue elected positions.

• Link prospective candidates and key stakeholders to AFP's vision for transforming public policy.

• Organize and lead AFP's Candidate School.

• Propel political recruitment strategies and mentor future leaders aligned with our policy goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant senior-level experience in leading political recruitment and/or managing political campaign activities at the federal level.

• Executive presence with the capability to establish and nurture relationships with policy-aligned candidates, political leaders, elected officials, and other key figures.

• Profound and nuanced comprehension of the political landscape and electoral opportunities within a specified region.

• Established network of potential policy advocates and political influencers.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
