Polish Speaking Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, thorough, and respectful video interpretation between English and Polish, including occasional over-the-phone sessions.

• Facilitate communication accurately without adding, omitting, or changing the intended meaning of the speakers.

• Adhere to professional interpreter ethics, standards of practice, and company protocols.

• Uphold confidentiality and comply with relevant healthcare privacy regulations.

• Exhibit cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds, communication styles, and patient preferences.

• Maintain professional decorum and exercise sound judgment regarding interpreter role boundaries.

• Adapt to changing technologies, workflows, and service demands.

• Engage in mandatory training, coaching, and quality improvement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient, professional-level verbal communication in both English and Polish.

• A true understanding of medical interpreting; this can stem from informal experiences, such as interpreting for family members.

• Capability to accurately and thoroughly interpret medical information in both languages.

• Willingness to complete a medical interpreting proficiency assessment as part of the selection process.

• Cultural sensitivity and comfort working within the US healthcare environment.

• Strong professional reliability and sound judgment, along with a customer service orientation.

• Comfort with video conferencing tools and adaptability to new remote technologies.

• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

• Dedicated home workspace: a private, distraction-free room with a locking door, screen privacy, and wired high-speed internet; no Wi-Fi, hotspot, satellite, or DSL connections allowed.

• Comfortable being on camera for the majority of each shift.

• Residing in Poland and available for remote work.

• Availability aligned with US Eastern Time (ET), likely starting late morning/late afternoon and finishing in the evening CET.
