This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate, adjudicate, and revise USPS policies to remove unnecessary regulations and enhance operational efficiency.
• Offer suggestions for policy and process updates, such as distinguishing between policy and process, refining policy language, enhancing USPS operations, improving policy management, identifying gaps and risks, and eliminating superfluous content.
• Create and draft policies and related documentation, including guidance materials and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with policy owners, stakeholders, legal advisors, and labor relations experts to draft and refine policy language.
• Facilitate client interactions through working group meetings and individual communication channels.
• Assist the task lead with coordination, scheduling, administrative responsibilities, risk monitoring, document progression, data analysis, and meeting planning in a virtual setting.
• Aid in the communication and production of policy deliverables for USPS review.
• Contribute to achieving program milestones and evaluating customer feedback.
• Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with USPS customer leadership.
• Coordinate engagement with USPS stakeholders, steering committees, and working groups to define roles, responsibilities, and an implementation strategy.
• Monitor task progress and ensure adherence to the implementation plan and stakeholder expectations.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in public policy, public administration, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of consulting experience supporting federal government clients, including a minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role that requires direct interaction with senior stakeholders.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting federal agency operations, demonstrating involvement in policy analysis, program operations, or regulatory/compliance settings.
• Proven experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder engagements (e.g., workshops, governance boards, cross-functional working groups) with documented outcomes or decisions.
• Demonstrated capability to brief senior executives (SES or equivalent), including the preparation of briefing materials and the delivery of clear, concise recommendations.
• Experience translating policy, regulatory, or legislative requirements into actionable guidance for non-policy audiences.
• Outstanding writing skills, proven by the authorship of formal deliverables such as policy memos, white papers, executive briefings, or operational guidance documents.
• Strong analytical abilities with direct experience in synthesizing complex information into clear, structured recommendations for client decision-making.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment, including handling concurrent deliverables with shifting deadlines.
