This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate, adjudicate, and revise or rewrite USPS policies to remove redundant policies and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with policy owners and clients to suggest updates to policies and processes.
• Distinguish between policy and process while clarifying the language and content of policies.
• Propose enhancements to USPS business practices, policy management, and address gaps and risks in policies and processes.
• Create and compose policies and related materials, including guidance documents and standard operating procedures.
• Consult with policy owners, stakeholders, legal experts, and labor relations specialists to draft and refine policy language.
• Facilitate meetings with client working groups and manage individual communications.
• Assist the Task Lead with risk monitoring, coordination, scheduling, data analysis, meeting organization, and administrative tasks.
• Aid in the development and communication of policy deliverables for USPS review.
• Contribute to achieving program milestones and evaluating customer feedback.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with USPS customer leadership.
• Organize engagement with USPS stakeholders, steering committees, and working groups to define roles, responsibilities, and implementation strategies.
• Monitor task progress and ensure adherence to implementation plans and stakeholder expectations.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in public policy, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of consulting experience supporting federal government clients, including a minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role requiring direct engagement with senior stakeholders.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience aiding federal agency operations, encompassing policy analysis, program operations, or regulatory/compliance settings.
• Experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder engagements with documented outcomes or decisions.
• Proficiency in briefing senior executives (SES or equivalent), including the creation of briefing materials and delivering clear, concise recommendations.
• Experience in converting policy, regulatory, or legislative requirements into actionable guidance for non-policy audiences.
• Outstanding writing skills, including the authorship of formal policy memos, white papers, executive briefings, or operational guidance documents.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience in synthesizing complex information into structured recommendations.
• Capability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Active or the ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust.
