📋 Description

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government officials, legislators, consumer advocacy groups, trade associations, financial institutions, and other significant stakeholders throughout the UK and EU.

• Act as Plaid's representative in industry working groups and policy forums focused on open banking, open finance, smart data, payments, security, and privacy.

• Lead the research and analysis that informs Plaid's stance on critical issues and guides regulatory engagement and advocacy efforts.

• Oversee the planning and implementation of Plaid’s policy agenda in the UK and EU.

• Collaborate on projects with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Work in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Communications, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.

• Track emerging policy trends in the UK and EU.

• Identify potential risks and opportunities for Plaid’s business.

• Suggest strategies for effective policy engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in UK or EU financial services policy.

• Strong existing connections with policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, trade associations, think tanks, and consumer groups in the UK or EU.

• Demonstrated history of advocacy and influence in financial services policy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to foster consensus among diverse stakeholders, including those from various political backgrounds.

• A resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.

• A keen interest in products, technology, and AI.

• Policy experience across both the UK and EU is a plus.

• Experience in open banking, open finance, payments, or data-sharing policy is advantageous.

• Based in London is a plus.
