PLM Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Establish enterprise PLM roadmaps, solution blueprints, target architecture, and global template strategies for extensive digital transformation initiatives.

• Design and architect Teamcenter X solutions for Part Management, BOM Management, Document Management, Change Management, Classification, and Requirements Management.

• Create integrations of Teamcenter X with SAP ECC/S4HANA, MES, ALM, QMS, LMS, and other enterprise applications.

• Outline Digital Thread architecture encompassing Requirements, Design, BOM, Change, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory processes.

• Specify data governance, system ownership, validation controls, audit trail requirements, and compliance frameworks.

• Formulate data migration strategies and implement execution plans from legacy systems.

• Facilitate requirement workshops, fit-gap assessments, architecture reviews, solution estimations, and discussions with business and IT leadership.

• Manage global teams and spearhead PLM transformation initiatives within MedTech or regulated manufacturing sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess authorization to work for any employer in the United States.

• A minimum of 14 to 16+ years of PLM experience is required, including at least 8+ years as a Solution Architect in Teamcenter/Teamcenter X implementations.

• In-depth expertise in Teamcenter X architecture, data model design, product structures, lifecycle management, workflows, access control, and configuration management is essential.

• Capability to define enterprise PLM roadmaps, solution blueprints, target architecture, and global template strategies.

• Experience in architecting Teamcenter X solutions for Part Management, BOM Management, Document Management, Change Management, Classification, and Requirements Management.

• Proven experience in designing Teamcenter X integrations with SAP ECC/S4HANA, MES, ALM, QMS, LMS, and other enterprise applications.

• Practical knowledge of Active Integration Gateway (AIG), APIs, middleware architectures, event-driven integrations, and enterprise data exchange patterns.

• Expertise in SolidWorks Integration (SWIM) and Altium Integration, covering MCAD/ECAD data management, BOM synchronization, release management, and engineering change processes.

• Familiarity with defining Digital Thread architecture across Requirements, Design, BOM, Change, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory processes.

• Strong grasp of Medical Device industry processes, including DHF, DMR, Design Controls, Traceability, CAPA, and Risk Management.

• Experience in establishing data governance, system ownership, validation controls, audit trail requirements, and compliance frameworks.

• Demonstrated proficiency in data migration from Agile PLM, Autodesk Vault, Documentum, SharePoint, Polarion, and TrackWise.

• Solid technical understanding of BMIDE, ITK, SOA, REST APIs, Dispatcher, and integration frameworks.

• Ability to lead requirement workshops, fit-gap assessments, architecture reviews, solution estimations, and stakeholder discussions.

• Possess leadership, communication, and consulting skills with a track record of leading global teams and PLM transformation initiatives in MedTech or regulated manufacturing.

• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Preferred: Siemens Teamcenter architect-level certification and TOGAF certification.

• Preferred: experience with multi-year, multi-vendor PLM transformation initiatives.

• Preferred: familiarity with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Preferred: experience in regulated industries adhering to FDA, ISO, or AS9100 requirements.
