PLC Programmer, Grid Connection and Park Controllers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, program (Structured Text in accordance with IEC 61131) and configure certified grid connection controllers and park controllers for large-scale commercial and industrial photovoltaic and energy storage systems.

• Execute intricate control concepts such as active and reactive power management, Q(U) control, and voltage droop control at the point of common coupling in compliance with VDE-AR-N 4110 and 4120.

• Integrate controllers with grid operator interfaces utilizing telecontrol technology (IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus TCP/RTU).

• Technically implement Redispatch 2.0 processes.

• Provide technical implementation and support during the certification process as per FGW guidelines, specifically TR8.

• Collaborate with certification authorities.

• Carry out functional testing.

• Assist with remote and on-site commissioning, with an expected travel requirement of approximately 10–20%.

• Prepare system documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or technician training in electrical engineering, automation engineering, energy engineering, computer science, or a related field.

• Robust experience in PLC programming (Structured Text according to IEC 61131-3).

• Familiarity with applying and programming grid connection controllers and park controllers.

• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-104 and Modbus.

• Practical experience with Redispatch 2.0.

• Basic knowledge of VDE-AR-N 4110 / 4120 and VDE-AR-N 4105.

• Experience with FGW guidelines TR3, TR4, and TR8.

• Analytical mindset, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and a structured work approach.

• Excellent communication skills when engaging with grid operators, certification bodies, and internal teams.

• Valid Class B driving licence.

• Willingness to travel as required for specific on-site commissioning tasks.

• Business-fluent German at C1/C2 level.

• Very good proficiency in English.
