Platform Software Engineer – Staff/Principal

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design and develop the internal platform infrastructure and services at Seeq, utilized by engineering teams for the deployment and operation of software products.

β€’ Work closely with product management and engineers to design and implement resilient, secure platform components.

β€’ Provide shared services and capabilities that allow application teams to concentrate on customer innovation.

β€’ Enhance interfaces between different systems.

β€’ Optimize the infrastructure for better performance.

β€’ Transition existing functionalities to new services and infrastructure.

β€’ Facilitate efficient software delivery processes.

β€’ Construct multi-tenant clusters.

β€’ Incorporate best practices in security.

β€’ Promote product scalability and reliability.

β€’ Mentor and support engineering colleagues.

β€’ Offer architectural guidance and technical leadership at a Staff or Principal level.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in building platform services, infrastructure, or distributed systems.

β€’ Strong proficiency in backend technologies, particularly Go or Python.

β€’ Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

β€’ Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, including Kubernetes.

β€’ Thorough understanding of microservice architectures.

β€’ Experience in developing scalable, reliable platforms that support data-intensive applications.

β€’ Expertise in infrastructure development and configuration, software delivery, and the integration of security practices within platform development.

β€’ Solid background in system architecture, migrating production systems, and optimizing infrastructure for cost and performance.

β€’ Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience in guiding engineering teams.

β€’ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and remote settings.

β€’ Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and modern methodologies, including Agile and CI/CD.

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

β€’ Must be authorized to work in the country of residence.
