Platform Engineer – Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and modify infrastructure solely as code to guarantee reproducible and reviewable environments free of manual drift.

• Deconstruct inherited applications and infrastructure, tracing dependencies, integrations, and data flows comprehensively.

• Conceive and develop agentic AI solutions for platform, delivery, and operational tasks.

• Recognize repetitive tasks suitable for automation and construct, assess, and strengthen agents to eliminate them.

• Integrate security and compliance into the delivery pipeline through least-privilege access, secret management, policy-as-code guardrails, and audit trails.

• Design and oversee OpenTelemetry observability solutions for monitoring and tracing application performance.

• Implement and manage containerization solutions utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Container Apps.

• Oversee container health and performance, troubleshoot problems, and execute lasting resolutions.

• Engage in Root Cause Analysis and address fundamental issues to avert future occurrences.

• Carry out formal handoffs, conduct Office Hours reviews, and maintain reliable documentation.

• High-speed internet connection of over 10 Mbps at home.

• Manage and modify infrastructure solely as code.

• Experience in reverse engineering applications and infrastructure, tracing dependencies, integrations, and data flows.

• Capability to design, build, evaluate, and enhance agentic AI solutions.

• Understanding of least-privilege access, secret management, policy-as-code guardrails, and audit trails.

• Proficient in OpenTelemetry observability solutions.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong emphasis on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA).

• Ability to monitor container health and performance, troubleshoot problems, and implement enduring solutions.

• Experience in participating in Root Cause Analysis.

• Government-issued photo ID required for identity verification.

• Completion of a comprehensive background check.

• In-person I-9 verification needed.

• May undergo drug screening prior to employment.

• Use of artificial intelligence tools is not permitted during interviews.
