Platform Engineer – Kubernetes, CI/CD, Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Join the Engineering Platform - Evolving Assets team and contribute to the advancement of the internal engineering platform.

• Develop and enhance continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and upcoming initiatives with GitHub Actions.

• Work with platforms based on Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, managing and deploying applications in containerized environments.

• Design and build dashboards, metrics, and observability solutions utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

• Automate tasks and processes through Shell Scripting.

• Collaborate with development teams to promote best practices in Platform Engineering, deployment, monitoring, and operation of applications.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and the evolution of the technological platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar roles within Engineering Platform teams.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift in platform development and operational environments.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; proficiency in GitHub Actions is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of automation through Shell Scripting.

• Experience in observability and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana), including dashboards, metrics, and control panels.

• Understanding of Cloud Fundamentals in enterprise cloud environments.

• Ability to work in collaborative Platform Engineering environments and provide tools and services to development teams.

• Teamwork skills and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

• Minimum English proficiency of B2 is desirable.

• Experience or knowledge in Backstage, GitHub Actions, advanced observability, automation, Agile, DevOps, and Platform Engineering is advantageous.

• Certifications related to Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure DevOps, or Cloud are a plus.
