Platform Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Provide support for AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Assist with tasks related to security engineering audits and compliance, including tuning alerts and collecting logs.

• Execute installation, patching, and upgrades of DPM products on the SaaS platform.

• Maintain the deployment and application infrastructure.

• Validate processes and procedures for installation, configuration, release, and promotion.

• Support the releases and promotions of the DW Product Development Teams through production.

• Monitor the functionality and performance of DPM solutions.

• Automate and document processes for Platform Engineers.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for Platform Engineers.

• Install and configure DPM products.

• Troubleshoot errors within the platform.

• Assist with bug fixes for DPM applications and troubleshoot as necessary.

• Collaborate with architecture and development teams.

• Install, configure, and upgrade third-party products and open-source solutions.

• Conduct bi-weekly maintenance activities outside of standard hours within the designated maintenance window.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Possess NATO SECRET (NS) security classification or be willing to undergo screening to obtain NATO Secret security clearance.

• Experience in configuring, managing, and upgrading servers and software.

• Knowledge of database applications, including Oracle.

• Understanding of Web Services (REST).

• Familiarity with version control and continuous integration and delivery tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, BitBucket, or GitLab.

• Software development experience on Linux platforms using common scripting languages, including NodeJS, Java, Python, and bash, is highly desirable.

• Experience with AWS Cloud Services, Kibana, ADO Boards, JIRA, and Remedy.

• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent public cloud environments.

• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code.

• Willingness and capability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Ability to conduct bi-weekly maintenance activities outside of standard hours within the required maintenance window.
