Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain infrastructure-as-code for AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and on-premises setups, including Tanzu and air-gapped environments.

• Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines and promote the adoption of GitOps methodology.

• Deploy, scale, and enhance ML/NLP inference workloads.

• Construct and refine observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.

• Collaborate with Field Engineering to assist in PoCs and platform deployments within customer cloud VPCs and on-premises settings.

• Contribute to backend services and platform functionalities utilizing Java 21, Python, and gRPC.

• Enhance system reliability, scalability, and the developer experience throughout the engineering organization.

• Engage in an on-call rotation to provide support for enterprise customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or backend infrastructure roles.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (deployment, debugging, scaling).

• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, Helm, or Pulumi.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure also considered valuable).

• Proficient in one or more programming languages: Go, Python, Java.

• Comfortable with reading and contributing to backend codebases.

• Working knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Bazel, ArgoCD, or similar tools).

• Strong foundational knowledge in Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
