Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for AWS environments, including EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, and Lambda, ensuring optimal performance and 99.9% availability.

• Oversee and enhance cloud expenditure.

• Manage servers, load balancers, and security measures, including IAM and AWS Cognito.

• Secure and streamline deployment pipelines for efficient, low-risk releases.

• Act as the technical steward for automated testing tools such as Pest PHP and Playwright.

• Collaborate with the development team to pinpoint infrastructure bottlenecks and framework issues that impact performance.

• Offer systems-level assistance during sprints.

• Diagnose environment-specific bugs and optimize data pipelines involving Snowflake and Aurora.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of extensive professional experience with AWS.

• Proficient in designing failover architectures and managing intricate cloud networking.

• Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux servers.

• Advanced user of the command line for debugging and monitoring system health.

• Proven experience managing deployment workflows.

• Interest or familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Pest or Playwright.

• Proficient in PHP and JavaScript.

• Capable of reading stack traces, understanding pull requests, and troubleshooting application issues within a Laravel/Vue environment.

• Bonus: Experience in Azure Cloud Environment.

• Bonus: Familiarity with AWS Glue, Snowflake, or migrating legacy identity systems to AWS Cognito.
