Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Enhance developer experience and boost engineering productivity by creating tools and workflows for software development, testing, and deployment.

• Manage infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.

• Elevate the reliability and efficiency of CI/CD workflows.

• Diagnose slow builds, failed pipelines, and unreliable tests.

• Create internal tools and enhance test infrastructure.

• Occasionally contribute to product features.

• Enhance observability throughout infrastructure and delivery workflows utilizing OpenTelemetry and ELK.

• Develop cloud-based AI agent tools to streamline engineering workflows.

• Assist teams in adopting effective engineering practices.

• Support infrastructure, developer tooling, and delivery workflows utilized by over 100 engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining intricate CI/CD workflows.

• Background in software development for internal tools, APIs, backend services, or automation.

• Familiarity with AWS or an alternative cloud service provider.

• Experience in telemetry and monitoring, including OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Kibana.

• Strong fundamentals in Computer Science and System Design.

• Eagerness to learn and work with Ruby and/or Go.

• Experience in optimizing CI build times, particularly with Jenkins.

• Proficiency with Docker or Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of build systems such as Webpack or Gradle.

• Authorized to work for any employer in Portugal without the need for visa support now or in the future.
