Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Enhance the developer experience and boost engineering productivity by creating tools and workflows for development, testing, and software delivery.

• Manage infrastructure automation utilizing Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.

• Increase the reliability and performance of CI/CD workflows.

• Analyze slow builds, failed pipelines, and unstable tests.

• Create internal tools, enhance testing infrastructure, and occasionally contribute to product features.

• Augment observability across infrastructure and delivery workflows using OpenTelemetry and ELK.

• Develop cloud-based AI agent tools and assist teams in adopting effective engineering practices.

• Collaborate across infrastructure and software development with an estimated 65/35 split.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining intricate CI/CD workflows.

• Background in software development, including the creation of internal tools, APIs, backend services, or automation solutions.

• Familiarity with AWS or another cloud service provider.

• Experience in telemetry and monitoring using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Kibana.

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and System Design.

• Openness to learning and utilizing Ruby and/or Go.

• Experience in optimizing CI build times, particularly with Jenkins.

• Proficiency with Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience in Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of build systems like Webpack or Gradle.

• Eligibility to work for any employer in Poland without the need for visa support now or in the future.
