Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage and safeguard the global ingress and gateway infrastructure.

• Transition outdated edge systems to contemporary, decentralized gateway solutions.

• Develop robust, highly observable edge traffic routing in collaboration with Platform, Security, and Engineering teams.

• Engage in design activities and take ownership of assigned delivery components.

• Create automation and tools to enhance platform adoption and minimize manual support efforts.

• Contribute to multi-environment deployment pipelines and participate in peer reviews.

• Produce technical documentation and runbooks.

• Take part in rotational on-call support to ensure platform stability and respond to incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in building, configuring, or supporting public-facing traffic routing, reverse proxies, or API gateways in a production environment.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools, including Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.

• Proficiency in Go, Python, C#, or a comparable modern programming language.

• Experience implementing infrastructure changes in live production services while minimizing disruption.

• Strong technical writing skills.

• Capability to communicate progress, risks, and obstacles effectively.

• Involvement in a rotational on-call program for platform stability and incident response.
