Physician Owner / President

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary or majority shareholder, director, and President of one or more state-specific professional corporations.

• Provide clinical governance by endorsing clinical protocols, quality standards, and policies regarding the scope of practice for NP-delivered care.

• Implement and uphold collaborative practice or supervision agreements with nurse practitioners as mandated by state regulations.

• Supervise credentialing, peer review, and clinical quality committees.

• Serve as or appoint a Medical Director for relevant programs.

• Approve clinical policies, standing orders, and care pathways.

• Maintain Medicare enrollment for the professional corporation and manage the reassignment of billing rights.

• Collaborate with the MSO to ensure compliant operations while preserving exclusive authority over clinical decisions.

• Engage in regular governance meetings, audits, and respond to payer or regulatory inquiries as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.

• Willingness to acquire licensure in additional target states.

• Active, unrestricted DEA registration.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is preferred.

• Current Medicare enrollment or eligibility without any revocations, opt-outs, or payment suspensions.

• Clean compliance history: no OIG/SAM exclusions, no state board discipline, and no significant malpractice history.

• Experience in supervising NPs and/or acting as Medical Director in post-acute, SNF, home health, telehealth, or value-based care environments.

• Familiarity with friendly-PC arrangements, including stock transfer restrictions/succession agreements and MSO management frameworks.

• Previous ownership of a PC in telehealth, RPM, or digital health (preferred).

• Multi-state licensure or participation in IMLC (preferred).

• Background as an SNFist/post-acute medical director; knowledge of PDPM, RPM/CCM billing codes, and CMS Conditions of Participation (preferred).

• Experience with quality programs, utilization management/peer review, and payer credentialing (preferred).
