This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
β’ Deliver clinical assessments, diagnoses, and ongoing management for patients seeking Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid or alcohol use disorders via Telehealth.
β’ Prescribe and oversee MAT medications, including both oral and injectable forms of buprenorphine and naltrexone.
β’ Perform comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
β’ Collaborate with physicians, counselors, peer support workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans.
β’ Educate patients on substance use disorders, MAT, lifestyle modifications, coping strategies, and prevention of relapse.
β’ Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
β’ Manage care for co-occurring conditions.
β’ Keep precise and timely electronic health records for patient interactions, treatment plans, and medication management.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, MAT guidelines, HIPAA, and controlled substance documentation standards.
β’ Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when required.
β’ Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
β’ Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing (APRN), physician assistant (PA), or a related field.
β’ Current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
β’ Board Certification.
β’ Valid DEA registration status.
β’ At least 1 year of clinical experience.
β’ Minimum of 0.5 years of experience in addiction medicine, particularly in MAT clinics.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of MAT protocols, medications, and treatments for opioid, stimulant, benzodiazepine, and alcohol use disorders.
β’ Experience with behavioral health and counseling techniques is advantageous.
β’ Strong clinical evaluation and diagnostic abilities.
β’ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
β’ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate efficiently with healthcare teams.
β’ Knowledge of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements specific to MAT settings.
β’ Strong background in Telehealth.
β’ Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or PA.
β’ Valid license to practice in New Mexico.
