Physical Therapist, Telehealth Intake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct pre-arranged virtual, non-diagnostic Discovery & Intake Calls with potential patients.

• Explain how pelvic health physical therapy can address the concerns of patients.

• Offer high-level clinical education on pelvic floor health while adhering to scope-of-practice boundaries.

• Reconnect with previous inquiries and warm leads through phone, email, and text communications.

• Assist prospective patients in committing to care and scheduling detailed 1-on-1 evaluations with the in-person clinical team.

• Accurately document call notes, patient objectives, and intake information in EMR/CRM systems.

• Facilitate smooth transitions to evaluating clinicians.

• Refrain from clinical diagnostics and treatment-plan prescribing; diagnostic evaluations are conducted by in-clinic Physical Therapists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California (Required).

• Experience or a high level of comfort discussing pelvic floor health topics, including bowel/bladder issues, pelvic pain, pregnancy/postpartum, and sexual wellness.

• Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.

• Ability to establish immediate trust and assist hesitant callers in taking the next step in their care.

• Proficient in EMR systems, CRM platforms, online scheduling software, and Google Workspace.

• Availability for approximately 10+ hours per week with flexible block scheduling.

• Occasional evening availability preferred based on booking trends.

• PTA staff must operate under the direction and supervision of a licensed California Physical Therapist.
