Physical Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess patients’ functional capabilities, mobility, muscle strength, gait, and range of motion to create tailored treatment plans.

• Provide physical therapy services that adhere to the physician’s prescribed care plan and comply with California’s Physical Therapy Practice Act.

• Inform patients and their families or caregivers about therapeutic exercises, proper equipment usage, and recovery objectives.

• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team by reporting any changes in patient condition and engaging in case conferences.

• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants and supervise Home Health Aide care bi-weekly when physical therapy is the only skilled service provided.

• Handle documentation, including clinical progress notes and discharge planning.

• Recognize the need for additional home health services and manage referrals as needed.

• Carry out other responsibilities as necessary for patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current California Physical Therapy license.

• At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy; experience in home health is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.

• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

• A valid driver’s license and a dependable, insured vehicle.
